Why is SPI (solder paste inspection) machine important?

    SMT is the first production process of SMD LED display, and it is an important technology of SMD. We can see a complete SMT production line in Premteco's SMT workshop. Premteco has a complete set of fully automatic machines and equipment. We have mounted machines from Panasonic and Yamaha, reflow soldering machines, and printing machines. In addition, we also have a special machine, which is the SPI solder paste inspection machine.

    SMD LED display

    Many of our customers have visited the factory, but few factories have this SPI solder paste inspection machine. So, what exactly is SPI? What role does it play for SMT?

    In fact, this inconspicuous SPI plays an important role in the LED display. After the SPI prints the solder paste, its function is to detect whether the solder paste on the PCB board is completely printed. Once it is found that the solder paste on the PCB board is not fully printed, we need to fill it up in time. Most of our common false soldering problems are caused by incomplete solder paste printing.

    What is soldering problem?

    Soldering problem is a common line failure that causes electronic equipment failures and is in an unstable state where it is always connected and blocked. The soldering problem of  LED display is generally due to incomplete solder paste printing or oxidation of the solder paste at the lamp feet after the lamp has been used for years. The probability of false soldering in factories without SPI solder paste inspection machines is 70% or higher. So many of their products seem to be no problem in the factory, but after a few months or one year, the LED lamps will not turn on.

    Because of Premteco's SPI solder paste inspection machine, the probability of soldering problem in the product is 0.001%. And our products guarantee 48 hours of module aging + 72 hours of cabinets aging before shipment, so our products are very stable when customers received them. Most of them have been used for more than 8 years and the display effect is still very good.
